Is it pronounced jIro, like in gyroscope or jEEro, like in Geeronimo?

Good question! It tastes great no matter how you say it, so do not worry too much. Our greek friends say "yeero" with a hint of the g-sound at the beginning and a bit of a roll to the 'r'

How do you mix lamb and beef?

It is ground beef and ground lamb seasoned and formed into the 'cones' you see broiling on the vertical spit at our restaurant.

When are you going to open a 'real' restaurant?

We have opened a real restaurant!! - the address is at the bottom of each page and a picture on the home page. We strive to serve you great food and give excellent service and our ambience...

When are you going to open a restaurant in ???

You pick the city or state, and I think we have heard it! Some we hear often, but the answer is the same - we would love to be everywhere to serve you all wonderful food all of the time. We have no immediate plans to expand (although anything is possible) and we want to continue to serve you wonderful food whenever you can come to see us in Broomfield. If you are traveling to Colorado Springs, we have a sister store there. Be sure to give them a visit.

What do you serve that is vegetarian?

We have a variety of choices: two vegetarian sandwiches (falafel and hummus); most of our salads (there are anchovies in our caesar and tuna in our tuna salad); spanakopita; basmati rice; and usually lentil soup.

Do you have any vegan choices?

Again, the falafel, hummus, several salads, and lentil soup. Tahini sauce is vegan, as is our hot sauce.

Are the meats you serve Halal?

The lamb in the shish kebab is halal.

I have food allergies, can you help me?

we prepare almost all of our own food and try to provide complete and accurate information regarding the ingredients. We have occasionally been stumped, but it is rare that we cannot find a dish that will work for you.

My allergy is to gluten, can you help me?

Of course. there are small amounts of wheat products in the gyro, but the chicken, kebabs, and fish items as well as many of the salads and most of the sauces are gluten free. We modified our falafel recipe to be gluten free with the same great taste adn texture. We do not mind substituting to accomodate your needs, just let us know. An example is to serve the shish kebob (or other grill item) with no pita and extra, gluten free salad in its place.

The same is true for dairy. Our tahini and hot sauces are non-dairy, as are many of the salads. Even the greek salad can be made without feta cheese. and while we are talking feta...

Is your feta pasteurized?

It is pasteurized and made from cows milk. Although we would not presume to give medical advice, this probably makes it o.k. even when you are pregnant.

What kind of oil do you fry in? Cook with?

Our fry oil is zero trans fat made from canola oil. we cook with several choices: a blend of olive oil and soy oil; virgin olive oil, and margarine, which is zero trans fat. We do use a margarine that contains trans fats in our moussaka recipe. We are very concerned about the quality of our ingredients and strive to use the best practical choices.

Your food is kind of expensive for fast food.

It is not a question, but we will answer anyway! We are very concerned about the quality of our ingredients and strive to use the best practical choices. We do not think that you should have to eat second rate food just because you are in a food court. We strive to always serve only the best!
